Buyer/Planner (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States; applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. No relocation is offered.

Annual salary: $82,000–$95,000.

What you will do

• Define and maintain inventory and safety stock levels for direct production materials, indirect materials, and services.
• Review purchase requisitions and place purchase orders for assigned parts, components, assemblies, suppliers, and commodities.
• Use demand planning tools and MRP data to forecast requirements, publish supplier forecasts, and prevent production delays.
• Monitor supplier pricing, quality, delivery commitments, shortages, and production impacts.
• Maintain material and MRP fields, support engineering changes and quality activities, and manage vendor returns and documentation.
• Work with suppliers, Commodity Management, Demand Planning, Engineering, and SQE on cost reduction, schedule adherence, audits, and value-adding initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with 2–4 years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience, or 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MRP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, follow-up, prioritization, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, lead projects, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and maintain accurate, error-free work.
• Must be able to work on-site near Pawtucket, Rhode Island. ZOLL does not provide immigration-related sponsorship; applicants must not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment such as medical, aerospace, or nuclear.
• ERP implementation experience.
• APICS CPIM certification.
