Staff Photolithography Process Development Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Developing and industrializing next-generation photolithography and pattern transfer technologies for slider manufacturing with an accent on micro-patterning, process integration, and critical-to-quality performance. Focus on qualifying exposure and track platforms, optimizing resolution and overlay accuracy, designing DOE studies, and establishing scalable process-control strategies.

Location: Onsite in Korat, Thailand

What you will do

  • Lead development and deployment of next-generation photolithography technologies for slider product roadmaps and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop micro-patterning capabilities using stepper lithography, spray coating and development, advanced resists, and pattern transfer solutions.
  • Evaluate, install, qualify, and establish technology readiness for exposure tools, track systems, resist modules, and automation platforms.
  • Optimize lithography processes for resolution, overlay accuracy, critical dimension control, defectivity, and process capability.
  • Design engineering experiments, DOE plans, process characterization studies, process windows, and CTQ monitoring strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-site technology transfers while collaborating with design, metrology, manufacturing, equipment engineering, suppliers, and research organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, chemical engineering, nanotechnology, semiconductor engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in photolithography, semiconductor process development, MEMS fabrication, pattern transfer, advanced packaging, nano-fabrication, or cleanroom process development.
  • Strong knowledge of photoresist chemistry, exposure systems, optics and imaging, overlay and alignment, critical dimension control, and defectivity management.
  • Experience with I-line, DUV, or advanced exposure technologies; stepper and track systems; spin or spray coating; and process integration.
  • Experience with plasma etching, RIE, ion milling, and semiconductor metrology such as CD-SEM, AFM, optical inspection, defect review, or profilometry.
  • Strong DOE, statistical analysis, data-driven problem-solving, project leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with automation, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, AI/ML, and digital factory concepts.
  • Experience working with equipment suppliers, research institutes, and external technology partners.
