Senior Engineer, COMSOL Simulation & Tooling Design (COMSOL)

Location: Korat, Thailand; onsite at the hirify.global Korat Slider Factory

hirify.global Technology manufactures storage equipment and components at its large Korat production facility.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of cleaning processes and equipment tooling for miniature and new-form-factor components.
• Define cleaning requirements and methods, including ultrasonic, brush, chemical, and DI water processes.
• Use COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate mechanical behavior, fluid dynamics, and process interactions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal equipment teams to design, prototype, and refine tooling and equipment platforms.
• Validate cleaning performance through DOE, surface analysis, and particle and contamination testing using optical inspection, AFM, and SEM.
• Perform root cause analysis, implement process improvements, and document specifications, operating procedures, and qualification protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning fundamentals, contamination control, and mechanical tooling design.
• Experience in high-precision or high-purity manufacturing, such as semiconductor, hard disk, or electronics production.
• Proficiency with CAD tooling-design software such as SolidWorks and experience with COMSOL Multiphysics.
• Familiarity with fluid dynamics, brushing, ultrasonic cleaning, chemical compatibility, surface preparation, cleanliness metrology, and statistical process control.
• Ability to lead projects independently, troubleshoot using data-driven methods, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
