What you will do
- Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain Java-based microservices for e-commerce and omnichannel retail platforms.
- Build integrations with Order Management Systems and retail platforms for order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfillment, returns, and payment flows.
- Analyze requirements and translate functional specifications into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot defects, integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, deployment processes, and automated testing with DevOps and QA teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with software engineers, architects, DevOps, product analysts, and support teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Java Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java 21 and the Spring ecosystem.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, API-first principles, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, XML, HTTP, and GraphQL.
- Experience with Order Management Systems, Fluent Commerce, omnichannel retail, e-commerce, order lifecycles, inventory visibility, fulfillment, returns, and payment flows.
- Proficiency with MySQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, AWS, Helm, and event messaging systems such as AWS SQS or Solace.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, Keycloak, Okta, SonarQube, Snyk, Datadog, Insomnia, RobotFramework, Jira, and Confluence.
- Fluent English required; a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is expected.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating online sales platforms with physical retail operations, including click-and-collect, ship-from-store, endless aisle, unified inventory, and in-store returns.
- French or other additional languages.
