What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain database structures within overall system architectures.
• Develop database parsers, loading software, and workflows that replace manual security evaluation and authorization processes with automated capabilities.
• Provide database expertise for information storage and retrieval, data flow, analysis, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and test Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities.
• Use Django and Flask to interact with MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL data models and deliver JSON data to UI front ends.
• Handle break/fix requests, system updates, and database optimization activities.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required; the most recent polygraph must have been completed within the last 6 years.
• 5–10 years of related technical experience with a related bachelor’s degree, or 10–15 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Professional database engineering experience with MongoDB.
• Experience deploying and managing MongoDB databases, debugging optimization issues, and scaling database systems.

Nice to have

• Python, Django, Flask, REST endpoint development, and microservices.
• Swagger, AWS, C2S, other cloud platforms, Docker, JSON or XML serialization, and Visual Studio Code.
• Jira, Confluence, Git version control, and experience working in an Agile environment.
