Engineering Manager (Battery Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team, including hiring, training, work allocation, performance evaluation, and problem resolution.
• Research and develop improved battery manufacturing processes for commercial-scale production.
• Design process layouts and oversee the construction, control, and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Analyze operating procedures and equipment functions to reduce processing time and cost.
• Design measurement and control systems using laboratory and pilot-plant data.
• Establish operator procedures, perform production measurements, and apply chemical engineering principles to environmental problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials engineering, or a related discipline; an M.S. or Ph.D. is preferred.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, product development, design, or a related area.
• 5+ years of leadership experience with strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize effectively, and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Working-level English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrochemistry, electrochemical analysis, battery production, or battery R&D.
• Experience with industrial data analysis or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, including batteries or electronic devices.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Experience using JMP, Minitab, Python, or MATLAB for data analysis.
