Manager, Engineering (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine, California, United States. Travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $133,000–$223,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams researching, designing, developing, integrating, and testing In-Flight Entertainment software systems and platforms.
• Apply SAFe Agile principles to support iterative development, continuous integration, predictability, and engineering excellence.
• Provide technical leadership across software design, coding, debugging, implementation, and requirements development.
• Architect and integrate AI/ML technologies for personalization, predictive analytics, system intelligence, and operational efficiency.
• Drive problem-solving activities and ensure solutions meet design intent, performance expectations, qualification requirements, environmental constraints, and aviation regulations.
• Hire, develop, train, and appraise direct staff while managing budgets, schedules, and project resources.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field, or 9+ years of relevant software experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory, team lead, or project leader experience.
• Experience designing, developing, coding, testing, debugging, and implementing software solutions or products.
• Strong requirements development, technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and people leadership skills.
• Valid authorization to work in the U.S. and availability for up to 15% domestic and international travel.

• Cabin avionics and In-Flight Entertainment experience.
• Agile software development and DevOps skills.
• Experience facilitating organizational transformation and introducing technologies that improve cost, environmental performance, or product capabilities.
