Senior Director, Core & Ecosystem Strategy (HDD)

Location: San Jose, California; must be willing to relocate. Flexibility for remote work is available within established company policies. The role includes 15–25% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $233,500–$311,300 per year.

What you will do

• Define sales and commercial strategy for the core HDD business with commercial leadership.
• Build ecosystem strategy across hyperscalers, neoclouds, sovereign clouds, OEMs, system integrators, and cloud infrastructure software vendors.
• Evaluate strategic partnerships, deal structures, and partner operating models.
• Execute strategic projects covering go-to-market strategy, customer and partner frameworks, business models, and build-vs-buy-vs-partner assessments.
• Translate long-term priorities into actionable recommendations for the Executive Leadership Team.
• Present strategic briefings and recommendations to senior leadership, C-suite, and Board audiences.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in top-tier management consulting or corporate strategy and GTM/commercial leadership.
• Experience in data storage, semiconductors, memory, enterprise storage platforms, or adjacent infrastructure industries.
• Deep understanding of technical and commercial dynamics across data storage, cloud infrastructure, or AI infrastructure.
• Experience leading complex strategic projects from hypothesis development through analysis and recommendation.
• Strong financial acumen, quantitative rigor, strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
• MBA or equivalent experience and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, or a related analytical field.
