TL;DR
Lead Program Engineer (Aerospace): Planning and executing aircraft integration, test, delivery, and broader engineering program activities with an accent on technical authority, lifecycle compliance, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on managing program risks, coordinating engineering and manufacturing operations, and interfacing with customers and senior leadership while supporting DoD security requirements.

What you will do

  • Plan and execute assigned program activities across the full lifecycle.
  • Document and approve program plans while ensuring adherence to engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Lead and coordinate Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Specialty Engineering, Logistics Engineering, and Technical Publications activities.
  • Manage technical performance and compliance across engineering, manufacturing, and Hangar, Dock and Line operations.
  • Identify and manage program risks within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Serve as a key technical interface for customers and senior leadership throughout the program lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant program, project, and engineering experience; or a graduate degree with at least 10 years; or 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with program planning, engineering guidance, and execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Understanding of engineering processes and policies.
  • Experience in aircraft integration, testing, and delivery.
  • Experience in Software/Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering including Test Engineering, or Project Engineering.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance, ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, and U.S. Citizenship are required.

Nice to have

  • Leadership experience as a Task Leader, IPT Leader, Functional Manager, or in a similar role.
  • RC-135 weapon system experience and familiarity with control drawing specifications or aerospace wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with KVM systems, network switches, KG encryptors, RF/IF hardware, NAS, and DO-160 environmental testing.
  • Ability to create system wiring diagrams and server configuration documentation.
  • Understanding of the L3Harris bid process.
