Systems Integration Engineer B-52 Div (WBD)

What you will do

• Perform systems engineering analysis and capability planning for existing and future aeronautical programs, including the B-52, Next Generation Bomber, and 2030 Air Dominance programs.
• Bridge warfighter capability requirements with acquisition planning by researching program information, conducting analyses, and preparing briefings.
• Coordinate interfaces across development planning, technology, intelligence, acquisition, sustainment, and user communities.
• Develop and review engineering, acquisition, test, sustainment, and contracting documentation, including SEPs, TEMPs, RFPs, test plans, LCMPs, and LCSPs.
• Support airworthiness certification, aircraft and simulator certification, test planning, system safety, risk management, and technical evaluation of contractor efforts.
• Manage technical projects, risks, root-cause investigations, engineering meetings, program controls, and full life-cycle requirements for subsystems and equipment.

Requirements

• Active or current Secret security clearance or higher is required and must be verifiable in DISS.
• Knowledge of airworthiness, diagnostics, electrical systems, and field implementation actions in accordance with MIL-HDBK-516C.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree from an ABET-accredited program in a related field plus 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD; or a bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program plus 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
• An undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required for engineering positions; electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering are qualifying examples.
• Engineering technology degrees do not qualify. For engineering and computer science roles, the degree must have been awarded during or after the program’s original accreditation year.
