Location: Hybrid in Irvine, California, United States. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–50% depending on assignment. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Salary: $82,000–$138,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and verification and validation activities from product planning through design release.
- Develop and maintain quality verification plans for new product development.
- Review designs and verification results, applying safety requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for internal issues, supplier defects, and customer-reported problems.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and service partners to improve product quality and support supplier development.
- Analyze defect rates, reliability metrics, and field returns to identify trends and lead process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5+ years of engineering experience with a required design engineering background and hands-on product design and development experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical or mechanical hardware systems and experience working with design and R&D teams.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience with circuit design, PCB design, and quality and reliability tools such as FMEA, RCCA, and SPC.
- Familiarity with regulatory and environmental testing standards, including DO-254, DO-160, RTCA, and FAA/EASA requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with NPI, product development, design validation, design changes, or development lifecycle activities.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9145, and industry-specific standards for airborne systems.
