Staff AI Engineer (GenAI)

Location: USA — any location (remote). Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year, plus performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect, build, deploy, and operationalize production-grade GenAI, LLM, and machine learning pipelines.
• Develop applications using RAG, vector search, prompt engineering, agentic AI, and MCP.
• Design scalable data and AI workflows across Snowflake, Databricks, Azure ML, and data lakehouse platforms.
• Build secure, performant API-based AI services with FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent technologies.
• Implement CI/CD, MLOps, and LLMOps practices covering experiment tracking, model versioning, observability, governance, and serving.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists, define architecture standards, and troubleshoot latency, drift, reliability, and performance issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including architecting and scaling production LLM, GenAI, and ML systems.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, agentic or tool-augmented LLM systems, and frameworks such as LangChain or MCP.
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks and distributed data processing using Spark or equivalent systems.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD automation, model serving, monitoring, and governance using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure ML, MLflow, and Terraform.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, plus a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Current US work authorization without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Healthcare AI experience and experience deploying AI in regulated environments.
• Certifications in Snowflake, Databricks, Azure ML, or other AI/ML platforms.
• Experience with Python API frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
