TL;DR
Buyer (Nuclear Energy): Managing procurement and purchase-order execution for components, equipment, and services supporting factory-fabricated microreactor development with an accent on supplier coordination, logistics, ERP/MRP data accuracy, and nuclear quality requirements. Focus on analyzing quotes, negotiating terms, resolving delivery and invoice issues, monitoring supplier performance, and building scalable supply-chain processes.

Location: Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons in compliance with 10 CFR Part 810 and may not hold non-compliant foreign citizenships.

hirify.global Atomics develops factory-fabricated microreactors to provide affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power, starting with the 10 MWe hirify.global-1 reactor.

What you will do

  • Own the full purchase-order lifecycle, from purchase request through receipt by the supplier.
  • Analyze quotes, negotiate commercial terms, create purchase orders, and communicate them to suppliers.
  • Coordinate shipments and logistics, including required documentation for receiving.
  • Manage supplier portfolios, resolve order discrepancies, monitor commitments, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain supplier, order, lead-time, receipt-date, and commercial data in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Program Management while developing scalable procurement processes and meeting nuclear quality requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or hardware development.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to understand purchasing requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage open orders, resolve issues, and drive on-time supplier delivery.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
  • Strong organization, communication, supplier relationship management, and data-accuracy skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status is required under 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a startup or early-stage hardware company.
  • Exposure to nuclear, energy, or highly regulated industries.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification, or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with contract management and supplier agreement execution.
