Senior Electrical Engineer I (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States

Base salary: $124,000–$170,500 USD per year. Total compensation including equity: $144,275–$206,175 USD per year.

What you will do

• Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Perform power, tolerance, and reliability circuit analyses using SPICE and Excel.
• Conduct PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Support production manufacturing as needed.
• Participate in spacecraft development from requirements definition through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of electrical hardware design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficiency with SPICE and Excel for circuit analysis.
• Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• For work in U.S. offices, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated technology is required; candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• Experience with electronic lab equipment, space environments, radiation mitigation, or high-reliability aerospace applications.
• Experience with rigid-flex PCBs, electromechanical design, FPGA design, or embedded software development for ARM processors.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
