Marine and Aquatic Organisms Technician

Salary: From EUR 3,534.47 per month after tax, before 12.99% hirify.global social security deductions, plus paid benefits.

What you will do

• Care for and perform welfare checks on aquatic and other laboratory species, including jellyfish, soil microbes, Nematostella, and laboratory fish.
• Monitor environmental conditions and maintain the animals’ living environments.
• Prepare food and feed various species.
• Perform basic experimental procedures and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
• Provide technical and experimental support to scientists using laboratory animals for research.
• Participate in the weekend duty rotation and follow hirify.global regulations on the use of animals and other species in research.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar facility, preferably in a marine or aquatic environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a complex environment.
• Flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
• Positive attitude toward learning and developing new skills.
• Basic computer skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Professional English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German.
