Senior Field Application Specialist (Spatial Biology)

Location: Remote in the United Kingdom, within EMEA and ideally based in the UK. The role requires 80% travel across EMEA, mainly the UK and Ireland, with an average of three overnight stays per week depending on location. Remote employees must travel to the Swiss site on request for configured product demonstrations.

Salary: £44,600–£71,480 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Train and support customers in product setup, protocol and panel development, and staining assay implementation.
• Present products and applications at conferences, symposia, and customer meetings with scientific and technical depth.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues at customer sites in collaboration with Technical Support, Service Engineering, Product Management, and R&D.
• Provide scientific applications support for assay development and image analysis algorithm development.
• Partner with Sales on pre-sales and post-sales support and maintain proactive customer relationships.
• Capture customer-site feedback and requirements for Marketing, Product Management, R&D, and future product development.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Medicine, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with in-situ techniques, including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, multiomics, or microscopy.
• Several years of experience supporting customers in a highly technical field.
• Ability to write technical support documentation and run laboratory experiments independently.
• Strong customer service, listening, critical-thinking, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required; additional German, Italian, or French is desirable.

• Experience with image analysis of spatial data.
