Senior Guidewire Developer (Guidewire)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop configurations and customizations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter using Gosu.
• Implement product model changes, business rules, validation rules, PCF customizations, entity extensions, and data model changes.
• Build and maintain integrations with policy, claims, billing, payments, documents, reinsurance, and other enterprise systems using messaging, batch, plugins, and Guidewire Integration Gateway.
• Support Guidewire Cloud upgrades, configuration refactoring, and adoption of cloud-native patterns.
• Develop unit tests, regression suites, and automated tests; profile and optimize Gosu logic and database queries.
• Participate in design and code reviews, document technical decisions, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with analysts, product owners, and insurance SMEs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least five years of Guidewire development experience; the position listing specifies 8+ years of overall experience.
• Deep expertise in Gosu, the Guidewire data model, product model and rule design, and PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter customization.
• Experience building Guidewire integrations with messaging, batch, and plugins, plus familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform.
• Strong SQL, Guidewire database schema, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Applicants must be located in the United States and must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates.

Nice to have

• Guidewire ACE certification.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud upgrades, Digital portals, DataHub, or InfoCenter.
• Property and casualty insurance expertise, including reinsurance, policy administration, or claims modernization programs.
