Trade Finance Origination Associate (Trade Finance)

Base salary: $145,000–$175,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Support the origination and execution of trade and working capital transactions for US borrowers.
• Market receivables, supply chain finance, structured trade, letters of credit, EAF, and related trade products.
• Develop commercial plans, pitches, and RFIs based on client financial strategies, reports, and sector analysis.
• Provide pricing and market intelligence while assessing transaction profitability and presenting opportunities to relevant committees.
• Manage client journeys from sales through implementation, including onboarding and due diligence.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across compliance, risk, legal, IT, operations, insurers, brokers, and law firms.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience, training, military service, or education.
• 6+ years of relevant experience, including work with sub-investment-grade clients in the American market.
• Strong knowledge of working capital cycles, cash flow forecasting, financial statement analysis, financial modelling, and trade product risks.
• Proven business origination, presentation, organizational, relationship-building, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Understanding of front-to-back trade product execution, competitive markets, technology in trade finance, and banking governance.

Nice to have

• Experience in natural resources, utilities, commodities, or with financial sponsors.
• Established work history or equivalent experience, training, military service, or education.
