Sr SBA Underwrtier/ Portfolio Manager - Wholesale

Salary: $118,000–$146,000 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Review and underwrite SBA loan requests up to total credit exposure of $5 million.
• Evaluate financial statements, loan structures, collateral, due diligence, and borrower risk.
• Prepare credit recommendations and seek approval within service-level agreements and production requirements.
• Work with Relationship Managers, Credit Product Managers, Credit Officers, sales, and senior management to resolve risk-related issues.
• Recommend alternative financing structures or counteroffers when the original request cannot be accommodated.
• Maintain accurate credit-file documentation in a paperless environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of commercial lending or portfolio management experience, including financial analysis and credit structuring.
• 5+ years of direct SBA lending experience.
• Experience applying credit policy, monitoring credit, administering risk, and reviewing loan documentation.
• Ability to propose, negotiate, and recommend credit and covenant structures.
• Ability to work from one of the listed United States locations.
