Global Category Manager, Fiber

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; on-site

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year plus bonus; restricted stock units included.

What you will do

• Develop and implement global sourcing and category strategies for fiber and related data center infrastructure.
• Evaluate and manage strategic global suppliers, ensuring quality standards, delivery deadlines, compliance, and performance.
• Lead negotiations for supplier contracts, pricing, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and supplier performance to identify savings and cost optimization opportunities.
• Manage supply-base risks, contingency planning, quarterly business reviews, and cross-functional category planning.
• Integrate sustainability practices and monitor industry trends, market conditions, and category innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or logistics, international trade, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement.
• Experience managing global supply chains, complex supplier relationships, vendor compliance, and process improvements at scale.
• Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with global manufacturers and suppliers, including supplier qualification, documentation, contract negotiation, and performance management.
• Background working with hyperscalers, OEMs/ODMs, or infrastructure providers, preferably in data center, cloud, or hardware supply chains.

Nice to have

• Experience managing data center fiber infrastructure, including indoor plant fiber, outdoor plant fiber, in-the-row fiber connectivity, and cabling.
• Experience managing global categories across multiple regions or geographies.
• Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM.
• Experience with AI or data center infrastructure supply chains.
