What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Coordinate with engineering functions on product improvements, new product releases, and engineering change requests.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements using DFx principles.
  • Develop test procedures, support test specification and fixture development, and coordinate fixture sourcing when needed.
  • Gather and evaluate operational and test data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and continuous improvement actions.
  • Perform Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis for new product development.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and fabrication or assembly processes.
  • Ability to analyze test results, work methods, procedures, and business processes.
  • Ability to perform root cause and corrective action analysis.
  • Understanding of lean principles, automation, continuous improvement, and DFx concepts.
  • Must work from the Austin, TX location; the role is not relocation eligible.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
