Senior Capture/BD Manager (Defense Technology)

Location: Hybrid, based out of Columbia, Maryland, United States; frequent travel of 50%+ within and outside the continental United States is required.

Salary: $174,284–$250,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy for all-domain big data management across domestic and international markets.
• Identify, qualify, and win defense and intelligence opportunities involving data-at-the-edge, cloud-to-tactical, and big data orchestration challenges.
• Cultivate relationships with international partners, Ministries of Defense, security agencies, PEOs, COCOMs, and technical leaders.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling mission narratives, technical white papers, and prototype demonstrations.
• Build and manage a high-probability opportunity pipeline and coordinate handoffs to the PMO and Product Owners.
• Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage ITAR, EAR, and other export-control requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 10+ years of experience in defense or intelligence business development focused on big data, cloud architecture, or cybersecurity with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 8 years with a relevant master's degree.
• Experience cultivating international opportunities and managing direct-to-Ministry-of-Defense or global partnership sales cycles.
• Technical fluency in data platforms, pipelines, CI/CD, cloud architecture, and cross-domain solutions.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, export controls, modern defense acquisition, Middle Tier acquisition, and rapid prototyping.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred; candidates with a current Secret clearance may be considered.
