Medical Assistant (Primary Care)

Pay range: $23.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support a primary care physician and deliver excellent patient care throughout the full patient experience.
• Escort patients, prepare and stock exam rooms, collect health information, and record accurate data in medical records.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Coordinate scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and outside care.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients as directed by the provider.
• Participate in patient outreach, care-plan development, and efforts to address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Ability to perform clinical and administrative duties in a primary care setting.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Spanish for regular interaction with Spanish-speaking customers.
• Phlebotomy experience.
