Medical Assistant

Location: On-site in Mobile, Alabama, USA

Salary: $16.00–$20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Collect and ship patient laboratory specimens in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Prepare monthly patient lists for medical testing and manage laboratory results.
• Schedule examinations and annual physicals.
• Record vital signs, conduct health assessments and TB testing, and perform blood draws.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and a sanitary work environment.
• Consult with team members on laboratory testing and patient issues while protecting patient confidentiality and reporting workplace hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and medical assistant or phlebotomist procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, use protective equipment, and work in standard medical office conditions with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Must work on-site in Mobile, Alabama, USA.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
