Medical Assistant (Healthcare)

Location: Jacksonville, FL; onsite outpatient setting

Salary: $43,000–$56,200 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Discuss patient symptoms and obtain vital signs.
• Administer medications and vaccines within active certification limits.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain examination rooms.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver direct patient care.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant school or training program, certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, or 5+ years of experience with Provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville, Florida, in a patient-facing outpatient setting.
• Completion of tuberculosis screening is required if selected.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medication or vaccine administration experience.
• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Value-Based Care experience, including HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency, subject to a proficiency exam before foreign-language communication.
