What you will do

• Administer methadone according to physician orders and maintain medication accountability.
• Screen and assess new and current patients for treatment and dosing appropriateness.
• Observe patients after medication administration and monitor physical examinations and laboratory work.
• Collect urine specimens, document results, and maintain accurate dosing and inventory records.
• Receive medication shipments, prepare courtesy and vacation dose packages, and reconcile medication inventories.
• Collaborate with counselors and nursing staff, train new nurses, participate in treatment meetings, and support accreditation and quality standards.

Requirements

• Current LPN/LVN or RN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Accurate data-entry skills and basic computer and office-equipment knowledge.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and react quickly in a clinical environment.
• Ability to work on-site with prolonged standing, exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and interactions with patients with medical, mental health, or substance use conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Phlebotomy certification or willingness to obtain it when required.
• Knowledge of dosing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, test strips, and breathalyzers.
