Medical Assistant (Home Healthcare)

Location: Houston, Humble, Spring, or Westfield, Texas; travel to patient homes is required

Salary: $25–$28 per hour

What you will do

• Provide preventative, diagnostic, and low-acuity healthcare services in patients’ homes.
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, ECGs, and related services.
• Prepare clinical supplies and personal protective equipment for daily appointments.
• Use mobile technology for scheduling and charting, plus HIPAA-secure messaging for care coordination.
• Label collected samples correctly and coordinate delivery to laboratories or shipment facilities.
• Build compassionate, welcoming relationships with diverse patients while working independently.

Requirements

• Previous venipuncture experience.
• State-required clinical licensure or proof of training; national certification is required where state licensure is not applicable.
• Basic Life Support certification and proof of completed training or certification appropriate to the licensure level.
• Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking.
• Successful national background check, DMV check, and clinical license search.
