Structures Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Redondo Beach, United States

Compensation: $30.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Manufacture and assemble metallic and composite spacecraft structures.
• Perform drilling, reaming, tapping, countersinking, chamfering, fastening, hardware repair, and thread-chasing operations.
• Complete composite trimming, adhesive bonding, lamination, filament winding, vacuum bagging, oven curing, and tool preparation.
• Apply coatings, sealants, adhesives, primers, and thermal protection materials; clean structures using solvents.
• Fabricate and assemble tubes, cryogenic seals, fittings, inserts, and related hardware.
• Review work instructions and specifications, complete electronic work buyoffs, and collaborate with engineering on improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 3 years of hands-on hardware manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Experience using electric or pneumatic tools for tight-tolerance drilling, reaming, and countersinking.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints, including drawing symbols, flag notes, and section views.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of structural assembly experience on rockets, launch vehicles, or spacecraft.
• Experience with composites lamination, vacuum bagging, and assembly.
• Experience integrating avionics, propulsion systems, and pneumatics, including final clean.
