Fabrication Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco; in-office five days per week is essential

Salary: $50–$70 per hour

What you will do

• Fabricate aviation engine components and assemblies for aircraft prototyping and testing.
• Perform precision TIG welding, using MIG and laser welding when needed.
• Work with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys.
• Collaborate with design and test teams to ensure fabricated hardware meets specifications.
• Provide design-for-manufacturing feedback on engineering designs.
• Support fabrication and prototyping through basic manual machining.

Requirements

• Proficiency in TIG welding as the primary welding method.
• Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Basic manual machining skills, including operating a lathe and mill.
• Experience welding thick and thin plumbing fittings.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, precise welds.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with MIG and laser welding.
• Experience working with Hastelloy, Inconel, or other exotic materials.
• Experience shaping and welding thin sheet metal measuring 0.063 inches or less.
