People Manager (Human Resources) (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus eligible stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary People Business Partner for assigned business units and advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent, and change.
• Lead performance reviews, calibration, promotions, succession planning, development planning, and other talent programs.
• Support compensation recommendations, equity administration, manager communications, training, and company-wide People initiatives.
• Execute onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and employee changes end-to-end.
• Build and improve People workflows, SOPs, systems, reporting, and data audits while resolving operational issues quickly.
• Partner with Payroll, Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to ensure accurate, compliant employee lifecycle operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP and/or People Operations work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Startup experience or experience building new groups within a larger organization.
• Hands-on experience building processes, fixing systems, scaling People programs, and managing operational work without relying on large administrative teams.
• Experience advising senior leaders on organizational strategy, talent management, change management, compensation, promotions, and organizational design.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance, with authorization to work in the United States and U.S. person eligibility for ITAR-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth technology, aerospace, or pharmaceutical and life sciences environments.
• Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports.
