Senior Biomedical Research & Data Governance

Location: Remote or hybrid within the United States; travel to on-site events in Seattle, WA is required at least twice per year.

Annual salary: $93,300–$121,700.

What you will do

• Lead research governance policies, processes, and structures across biomedical research programs.
• Design and implement governance systems for scientific communities, research consortia, and institutional partners.
• Evaluate data sensitivity and establish responsible data-sharing approaches, access controls, privacy guidelines, and compliance methods.
• Monitor ethical, legal, and institutional compliance; support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA plans.
• Develop and negotiate data-sharing agreements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create governance standards, training materials, presentations, and documentation, including responsible applications of AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, public health, public administration, social sciences, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in a research setting involving human biomedical data.
• Experience with human subjects research regulations, Institutional Review Board submissions, preferably for multi-site protocols.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, ethical principles, HIPAA compliance, and data-sharing agreements.
• Experience developing or improving SOPs, process documentation, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA plans.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, collaboration, and digital literacy skills; experience with tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Confluence, or Jira.
