Dispatcher

Location: Onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Powder Springs, Georgia

What you will do

• Review customer service calls and dispatch technicians for routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Prioritize service requests and optimize technician schedules and routes based on geography, urgency, skills, availability, and customer requirements.
• Manage open, incomplete, follow-up, and at-risk work orders, updating statuses and escalating SLA concerns, capacity issues, and scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor technician availability, check-in and check-out activity, assignments, ETAs, parts status, and daily schedules.
• Maintain accurate dispatch boards, work orders, customer portals, service records, and technician communications.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and messages while resolving customer and scheduling concerns professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred.
• 0–5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, organization, time management, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, make sound decisions, learn quickly, and work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and flexibility to work outside normal working hours when required.
• Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls and maintain accurate service documentation.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of basic or commercial refrigeration and HVAC.
• Experience with dispatch systems, mobile work order platforms, customer portals, GPS or route visibility tools, or similar service management systems.
