Dispatcher

Location: Santa Ana, California; onsite at the Santa Ana branch serving Southern California locations

Salary: $25–$26 per hour, or based on experience

AWP Safety provides traffic control and safety services, including work-zone flagging, transportation management planning, equipment sales and rental, and 24/7 support.

What you will do

• Schedule and dispatch workers, crews, equipment, and service vehicles to appropriate work sites.
• Respond to inbound, emergency, and same-day service requests.
• Relay work orders and information between customers, crews, supervisors, and field inspectors.
• Monitor drivers, equipment locations, utilization, work tickets, and employee assignments through dispatch and tracking systems.
• Maintain customer, service, inventory, expense, and dispatch records.
• Follow up with customers after service and report hiring needs or employee issues to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, time management, and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of the local geography and mapping tools for efficient routing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, and Outlook, or the ability to quickly learn dispatch and record-keeping systems.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, adapt quickly, and remain effective under pressure.
