TL;DR
Senior Hardware Design Engineer (High Speed Networking): Designing high-power, high-density Ethernet switches and advanced networking hardware for hyperscale data centers, enterprise campuses, and AI clusters with an accent on 100G/200G PAM4, high-speed PCB design, and signal and power integrity. Focus on developing complex boards from specification through production, validating signal and power performance, bringing up prototypes, and debugging systems across hardware, software, and test teams.

What you will do

  • Author functional specifications and design high-power, high-density Ethernet switches for AI networks.
  • Select and qualify components, capture schematics, and perform tool-based design verification.
  • Collaborate with eCAD, mechanical, thermal, software, product, manufacturing, and test teams on PCB layout, system realization, validation, and manufacturing.
  • Develop signal integrity and power integrity simulations for power and datapath signals, including PCB stackups and fabrication details.
  • Develop programmable logic devices for control and timing planes and bring up and debug prototypes in the lab.
  • Drive system debugging, manufacturing test development, contract manufacturer training, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • BSEE or MSEE and 10+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience.
  • Experience designing networking hardware, particularly 100G and 200G PAM4 Ethernet switching products.
  • Experience designing 20+ layer boards with 50G+ signals, sequential lamination, HDI, and ultra-low-loss materials.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-phase DC/DC converters, DDR, PCIe, signal integrity, power integrity, and complex PCB layout and routing.
  • Experience with FPGA design and system simulation using Verilog or VHDL.
  • Experience with DFM, contract manufacturers, and taking hardware products from concept through mass production.

Nice to have

  • Experience with embedded x86/ARM system design.
