Senior R&D Hardware Design Engineer (Networking)

Location: Onsite, with an expectation of primarily working from an HPE office

What you will do

• Lead complex hardware designs across component selection, schematic capture, board-level architecture, bring-up, debugging, and validation.
• Drive high-speed digital design decisions involving signal integrity, power distribution, and system-level performance trade-offs.
• Collaborate with layout, validation, manufacturing, and firmware teams across multiple sites to deliver production-ready networking hardware.
• Perform upfront analysis, hands-on validation, measurement, characterization, and root-cause analysis of complex designs.
• Set technical direction, improve design methodologies and engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 6–10 years of experience in complex systems and hardware design, including integrated circuits and high-performance electronic platforms.
• Deep expertise in digital and analog circuit design, architecture, and technical trade-offs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience measuring, testing, and characterizing high-speed digital signals, including signal integrity and power distribution challenges.
• Extensive board-level design experience with Cadence CAD tools such as OrCAD and Allegro; fluency in English and the local language is required.
