Principal IT Engineer (Identity Security)

Location: United States - Field; travel throughout North, Central, and South America is required for customer-site assessments, installations, integrations, troubleshooting, and relationship building.

Salary: $142,797–$209,436 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Serve as a senior technical escalation resource for complex Professional Services, partner, and customer issues.
• Perform discovery, installation, integration, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting for hirify.global issuance solutions remotely and on customer sites.
• Assess customer environments, security needs, system dependencies, operational risks, and scalability requirements to develop practical architectures.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective programs, technical documentation, and reusable deployment and troubleshooting guidance.
• Support consulting, proposals, estimates, solution positioning, and value-based service offerings with Sales, Product Management, and Professional Services.
• Mentor technical stakeholders and provide product, architecture, serviceability, and implementation feedback to Engineering and Product Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years of experience as a senior systems integrator, systems engineer, software or support engineer, solutions architect, technical consultant, or in a related role.
• Deep experience with card personalization, including EMV, issuance environments, and production-management solutions.
• Experience with secure financial, government, bureau, or identity personalization operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, networking, DNS, Active Directory, IIS, databases, availability, and scalability.
• Ability to troubleshoot across software, hardware, networks, databases, production workflows, and customer operations, while explaining complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global products such as DPP, Adaptive Issuance, Secura, central issuance, bureau solutions, or related identity and payment technologies.
• Knowledge of PKI, key management, HSMs, secure credential issuance, and EMV personalization.
• Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, analytics, Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization.
• Experience creating consulting reports, architecture recommendations, business cases, implementation roadmaps, proposals, or pre-sales materials.
