Location: Must be based in the USA (Primary: Reston, VA) with a hybrid work model requiring at least 50% of time each quarter in the office or in the field.

Salary: $167,200 – $300,000 USD (base pay range varies by location)

What you will do

• Spearhead the architecture, daily operations, and continuous development of security response tooling including SOAR, SIEM, and Agentic AI.
• Lead and support security incident response across the organization to minimize threats from malicious activities.
• Contribute to the program vision and implementation of a world-class Response program.
• Evolve response platforms to enable Cyber Defense to operate with precision, automation, and innovation.
• Mentor new and existing staff to drive team development and a security-first mindset.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Expertise in architecting scalable cloud-native security solutions and background in software development for rapid prototyping.
• Deep knowledge of scripting languages and artificial intelligence (Conversational AI, Generative AI, and AI Agents).
• Experience with security alert triage, threat hunting, digital forensics, SIEM/SOAR, and SSDLC.
