Sales Engineer, Identity Security - California

Location: California / Sales Bay Area, US; remote work available; ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.

Compensation range: $250,000–275,000 total compensation, which may include sales incentives, equity, or benefits.

What you will do

• Drive revenue through large, complex sales opportunities using Cyera’s cloud data security and data risk management capabilities.
• Identify customer business issues and architect information availability solutions using Cyera products and services.
• Deliver and manage proof-of-value engagements and use-case demonstrations, including technical demonstrations for executive stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal cross-functional resources to support sales and build a repeatable business model.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for the partner channel and represent Cyera at marketing events.

Requirements

• Previous cloud, TDR, CASB, DLP, or data security experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical sales role.
• Strong understanding of identity and key identity principles.
• Understanding of or experience with AI-driven solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, particularly roles, permissions, and APIs.
• Fundamental network and database experience.
• Strong understanding of data storage types and basic understanding of encryption techniques, key management, cloud IAM, and network design, engineering, and protocols.
• Fundamental understanding of ML/AI, data regulatory frameworks, privacy, and data retention programs.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and opportunity tracking.
• Results-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and desire to work in a hyper-growth startup environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification at Associate or Professional level.
• AWS Cloud Security Engineer or Architect certification.
• Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• CCSP certification.
