Senior Quality Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: United States; remote. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Base salary: $126,000–$210,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the quality strategy across functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test coverage using established frameworks.
• Test complex workflows across distributed services, asynchronous processing, APIs, and web applications.
• Partner with engineering and product teams from refinement through release to identify risks and improve acceptance criteria.
• Investigate production issues and customer-reported defects, converting findings into regression coverage.
• Improve test reliability, execution speed, observability, and developer feedback loops.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing across API, service, and UI layers.
• Experience with Python and pytest for test automation.
• Strong API testing experience and the ability to develop strategies for ambiguous, cross-service, or high-risk changes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test reporting, and test environment management.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• GraphQL experience.
• Familiarity with Go testing ecosystems or experience writing and reviewing Go code.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or complex enterprise products.
