Senior QA Engineer I (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the USA; candidates based in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) are preferred for team collaboration. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $140,000–$153,000 annually, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to build quality into provider tools, patient workflows, and diagnostic reporting.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into test strategies, plans, and documentation.
• Perform manual and automated exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, and UI testing of web applications.
• Test REST and GraphQL APIs and backend services for robustness and correctness.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects; lead root cause analysis with developers.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, support accessibility, performance, and security testing, and mentor junior QA engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software QA experience and strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes, and test design techniques.
• Experience testing web technologies, client-server architectures, RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Awareness of WCAG accessibility standards and experience with Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers.
• Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA, plus strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience testing native iOS or Android applications and familiarity with Xcode, Android Studio, Detox, or BrowserStack.
• Understanding of TestFlight, Google Play Console, and mobile CI/CD workflows.
• Experience designing accessibility strategies or contributing to performance and security testing.
• Experience with healthcare applications, EHR systems, HIPAA, PHIPA, or similar sensitive health-data environments.
