Senior QA & Reliability Engineer (Azure Cloud)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid

Salary: EUR 60,000–100,000 gross annual base salary for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Define and execute integration, performance, reliability, chaos, and resilience testing strategies for Azure cloud platforms.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform end-to-end functional and non-functional validation, including defect analysis and root-cause resolution.
• Establish quality metrics, reporting frameworks, monitoring, observability, logging, metrics pipelines, distributed tracing, and alerting.
• Partner with platform, product, delivery, security, architecture, and engineering teams to operate secure and compliant cloud services.
• Mentor engineers and improve QA, SRE, DevOps, and reliability practices across teams.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and related reliability services.
• Experience designing and executing testing strategies in cloud-native environments, including integration, performance, chaos, and resilience testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud Platform Services, including SaaS and PaaS, as well as Azure landing zones, platform automation, networking, access management, security, and high availability.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Bicep and Azure DevOps pipeline integration for automated quality and reliability checks.
• Knowledge of platform engineering concepts, DevOps or DevSecOps methodologies, continuous delivery, test environments, and internal developer platforms.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python; proficiency in English is required.
