Quality Laboratory Technician 2nd Shift (Chemistry)

Location: Florence, Kentucky, United States of America; onsite, second shift

Salary: $52,760–$77,374 annually, plus discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Test raw materials, production batches, line samples, and finished products, recording and evaluating results.
• Calculate product adjustments and provide technical support to production, quality, R&D, and regulatory teams.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including equipment used for IR, UV/VIS, and moisture analysis.
• Conduct ATP testing, stability testing, GMP product release, laboratory audits, and Certificate of Analysis preparation.
• Support waste minimization, environmental and regulatory compliance, returns, discrepant materials, and non-conformance reporting.
• Train plant and laboratory personnel and participate in continuous improvement activities, including 5 Why investigations, Kaizen, and TPM.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science with a Chemistry minor; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• At least one year of experience in a quality control environment within a GMP-regulated facility.
• Experience with IR, UV/VIS, and moisture analyzer equipment.
• Ability to stand for up to four hours at a time, perform repetitive bending and stretching, and occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to use and maintain required PPE; contact lenses are not permitted.
• Ability to change shifts to cover vacations and business needs.
