Quality Lab Technician, 1st Shift, 6 am to 2 pm (CMP Pads)

Location: Aurora, Illinois, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:00 pm. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required based on business needs.

Starting pay: $24–$27 per hour, depending on experience. Eligible for an annual company incentive plan.

What you will do

• Perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on incoming materials, intermediates, experimental products, final products, and customer return samples.
• Enter results into SampleManager and identify deviations or non-conformances involving products, instruments, and quality standards.
• Verify and calibrate testing equipment according to manufacturing recommendations and test methods.
• Analyze data and trends, prepare reports, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
• Create Certificates of Analysis for products shipped to customers.
• Maintain laboratory work instructions, support development of new methods, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Chemistry or Biology, and/or at least one year of quality laboratory experience.
• Technical knowledge of laboratory analytical equipment and general testing methods.
• Understanding of basic statistical methods, including SPC/SQC.
• Ability to follow organizational concepts and complex processes with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with statistical software such as JMP or Minitab.
• Experience with SampleManager.
