Repair Technician I (Avionics)

What you will do

• Set up, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Test and troubleshoot complex analog and digital electronics systems to the component level.
• Secure, remove, position, and align parts using soldering, crimping, fastening, gluing, and other appropriate methods.
• Install assemblies in cases or cabinets and perform repairs on miniature electromechanical devices.
• Record repair information, identify publication discrepancies, and prepare repair cost quotation worksheets.
• Use engineering documentation and maintenance manuals to assess configuration status and conduct repair actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
• Recognized technical qualification or relevant experience, with 0–3 years of bench experience in electronic systems repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital electronics to the component level and use programmable auto-testers, oscilloscopes, meters, generators, power supplies, and test fixtures.
• Understanding of electronic circuit design, fault isolation, power tools, and miniature electromechanical devices.
• Required: surface-mount soldering experience where acrylic conformal coating is used.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, and work onsite in Narita City, Japan.
