Corporate Finance & Strategy, Cash Flow Forecasting

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $240,000–$325,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the balance sheet and cash flow forecast, including model architecture, tooling, forecasting methodology, and operating cadence.
• Forecast cash-impacting items such as working capital, capital expenditures, leases, debt and interest, equity and stock-based compensation, and cash taxes.
• Partner with Finance & Strategy, Accounting, and Treasury to align forecast inputs, reported financials, close processes, and direct cash views.
• Deliver free cash flow reporting, driver-based cash bridges, and scenarios and sensitivities for cash and liquidity.
• Integrate balance sheet and cash flow forecasting into the forecast calendar and reporting package.
• Automate actuals loads, tie-outs, and other reporting processes to improve rigor and scalability.

Requirements

• Experience designing and building an integrated three-statement forecast.
• Experience partnering with Accounting and Treasury to align forecasts with close and cash processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, plus expertise with modern financial planning tools such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive.
• Excellent communication, financial storytelling, collaboration, and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.
• Strong interest in Anthropic’s mission to build safe and beneficial AI systems.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, controllership, or a combination, with hands-on balance sheet and cash flow forecasting ownership.
• CPA certification or Big Four audit or technical accounting experience.
• Experience with public-company reporting and SOX controls.
• Experience with capital-intensive businesses involving compute, infrastructure, lease portfolios, or financing structures.
• SQL or scripting skills and experience automating actuals loads and tie-outs.
