Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience (DevX) (Bazel)

Location: New York City or Menlo Park, California, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $196,000–$230,000 USD per year, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize monorepo builds using Bazel and operate the remote build execution cluster.
• Scale CI pipelines for thousands of daily builds, including GitHub repository configuration, pre-merge checks, and test execution.
• Improve developer onboarding and reduce time-to-first-commit.
• Provide and maintain remote development environments that help engineers code, test, and deploy with minimal friction.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining developer infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or large-scale build systems such as Bazel.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code in Go or Python.
• Experience with distributed or remote build execution systems.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and focus on developer productivity, onboarding, and engineering workflows.
