Senior Software Build & Release Engineer (Fullstack/Embedded)

What you will do

• Design and maintain a Bazel-centric unified build system for C/C++ firmware and Go/Java/Python microservices.
• Implement hermetic and reproducible pipelines to ensure binary consistency across all environments.
• Manage cross-compilation toolchains for embedded targets (ARM, RISC-V) and standardized cloud runtime environments.
• Scale containerized CI/CD pipelines integrating unit tests, integration tests, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations.
• Automate containerization via Kubernetes and Docker for microservices handling network orchestration and telemetry.
• Define and automate the release lifecycle, including secure OTA images for hardware and container images for cloud clusters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in build/release engineering, DevOps, or SRE, covering both embedded and cloud services.
• Expert-level proficiency in Bazel (required).
• Experience with CMake/Ninja, Gradle/Maven, and Go Modules.
• Deep knowledge of Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.

Nice to have

• Experience managing large-scale monorepos.
• Proficiency in embedded Linux (Yocto/Buildroot) and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Knowledge of secure software supply chain practices (SBOM, code signing, vulnerability scanning).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and public cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Background in real-time or safety-critical software release cycles.
