What you will do

  • Develop, modify, and run high-fidelity simulations of satellites, aircraft, sensors, and ISR systems.
  • Compare mission architectures, technologies, operating concepts, and system configurations to identify performance drivers, limitations, risks, and opportunities.
  • Convert customer objectives, mission constraints, environments, and system behavior into realistic operational scenarios.
  • Create scripts, automation, visualizations, and new simulation capabilities to make analysis faster, deeper, and repeatable.
  • Analyze large simulation datasets, validate model assumptions and methods, and communicate findings and recommendations to engineers, program leaders, customers, and senior decision-makers.

Requirements

  • US citizenship and an active or current TS/SCI clearance, or TS/SCI eligibility, are mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related listed field.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a classified facility.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge in aerospace domains such as astrodynamics, remote sensing, spacecraft or aircraft systems, sensor performance, aerospace operations, mission engineering, or complex systems integration is preferred.
  • Experience with mathematical models, algorithms, simulations, quantitative engineering methods, Python or similar scripting tools, and technical communication is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with space or airborne modeling and simulation, ISR, remote sensing, sensor phenomenology, or mission- and architecture-level trade studies.
  • Experience analyzing large simulation or engineering datasets and developing engineering tools, automation, or visualization capabilities.
  • Experience supporting technical studies for government customers.
