Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Location: On-site in Pueblo, Colorado, United States, five days per week

Annual base salary: $75,700.00–$135,834.99

What you will do

• Own process quality, quality-at-the-source controls, and continuous improvement for the assigned manufacturing area.
• Administer the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with quality, engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform internal product and process audits, including ISO 9001 audits, and maintain Control Plans, Method Sheets, visual aids, formats, and quality records.
• Analyze non-conforming material, warranty issues, escapes, complaints, CARs, and SCARs to drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support manufacturing assembly and test cells, new product launches, Early Launch Containment, and pressure vessel code compliance programs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Program Management, NPD, and Supply Chain on quality execution and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or a similar field.
• 2–5 years of quality experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Required experience with process flow charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Experience with problem-solving methods such as 9 Step, 8D, A3, and root-cause analysis for customer complaints and internal issues.
• Ability to organize multiple assignments, manage time, lead teams, and manage people.

Nice to have

• APQP Specialist or Certified Quality Engineer certification.
• Experience with 5S, RIEs, SQDIP, MDI, Six Sigma, SPC, strategic A3, value stream mapping, and 9-Step improvement methods.
