Salary: $105,000–$160,000 base salary annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Own the capital equipment commodity strategy across manufacturing, testing, and facilities operations.
  • Lead high-value sourcing events by defining requirements, issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and recommending suppliers.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships for precision manufacturing equipment, test and measurement systems, cleanroom infrastructure, and facility capital.
  • Negotiate contracts covering pricing, payment milestones, delivery schedules, acceptance criteria, warranties, and spare parts.
  • Track equipment from purchase order through delivery, installation, acceptance testing, and warranty, resolving schedule, quality, and cost issues.
  • Partner with engineering, facilities, finance, and legal to align equipment procurement with technical requirements, program timelines, and compliance obligations.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of procurement or commodity management experience with direct ownership of capital equipment or CapEx sourcing.
  • Experience leading complex, high-value sourcing events and negotiating capital equipment contracts.
  • Experience with long-lead procurement in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and work credibly with engineering stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills, including experience with milestone payments, warranties, and acceptance criteria.
  • Must be located near Denver or Colorado Springs and able to work onsite as required; U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility for applicable ITAR authorizations is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or space manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and ITAR compliance for capital procurement.
  • Experience in a startup or scaling manufacturing environment.
